| Cancun is famous for its ancient civilization of Maya and Aztec tribes. Situated on a beautiful shore of the Caribbean Sea, Cancun is surrounded by mountains and is located in zone of subtropical climate. Vast expanses of parks of this place are the biggest parks, cosy and effective residential areas of city represent somewhat a Caribbean paradise. This city isn’t similar to any huge town in the planet. It is unique and unusual. There are ancient buildings and museums here. Many of them are collected in such a manner so as to give a most full introduction of the past. I could rise up the stairs of Chechen Itza and join the ancient world. All traditional details are shown here. The guide told a very interesting story about the unique game. It is rather unusual – the idea is if you win, you will be punished, even beheaded. People told many magic stories about the life of ancient natives. The images of the old habits and customs deprived of dark spots, but the present millennium turned page in the history of this city. This area was conquered by Spanish conquistadors and many constructions were made in that period. The museum tells about the history and the war for independence from the Spanish sovereignty and recognition of this area free. It does not move towards apocalypse any more, but it waits for its new Renaissance. Cancun is a very amazing world – I’d never like to leave it for my present living. People are trying to save arts and traditions here. There are lots of potter's art, textile products, the agricultural tool, the cult utensils, traditional national suits and many others are exhibited in museums. They also tell about how successors of these cultures live today. It seems to be impossible to forget the Caribbean places: every aspects of its being from swimming, sunbathing, and diving to sports draws crowds of people who annually come to these places in searches of peace and rest. | |
